The economic-development-2-0 Daily is Out On Paper.li

In case you are not aware, Intelegia’s social web presence goes beyond this blog, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and Slideshare.  Since 2009, we have used the content curation application, Paper.li.  The tool permits individuals to build an online newspaper from all the articles, blog posts, videos and photos shared on Twitter or Facebook.  Our current issue of economic-development-2-0 Daily is online.

Although we do not really pat ourselves on the back very often via this blog; however, we are glad to mention that Paper.li has included the economic-development-2-0 Daily in its staff picks as seen in Figure 1.

The reason why that we are bringing this to your attention is that Paper.li can be a pretty powerful social media tool for economic development agencies.

By having a critical mass of followers (in the form of local stakeholders) on Twitter or Faceback which are sharing information regarding the region and location factors, economic development agencies can have an online publication that has rich and dynamic content to market the region for investment attraction purposes.   The amazing thing about having a Paper.li  is that once it is set up with the proper content sources, you can publish the Paper.li automatically without clicking a mouse.

For those who wish to get started with their own Paper.li for economic development, below is a tutorial to watch as you begin to establish one more part  of your agencies’ brand identity.

To serve as motivation, have a glimpse at what our friends at the economic development agency in the Mauricie region are doing with the Blogueurs BM, le Journal Paper.li

Paper.li is available at www.paper.li
